Little information is available in public domain about the National Programme For Healthcare of Elderly (NPHCE) that UPA government launched in 2010. The programme details are missing from the Annual Reports of the ministry or its website. The last available information is as follows:
Under the NPHCE, 8 regional RGCs had been set up by 2014 and another 12 RGCs and 2 National Centres for Ageing were proposed during 12th Five-year Plan (2012-17). No further details are available other than the news of budgetary allocation of 480 crore rupees in 2016.
