Free lifeline water of up to 20 kiloliters (20,000 liters) to every household per month through a Delhi Jal Board (DJB) metered water connection.

AAP government after coming to power in 2015 launched a water subsidy scheme, under which AAP government is providing free water up to 20000 litre per month. The budget for this scheme is increased from Rs 190 crores in 2015-16 to Rs 353 crores in 2017-18. Out of 21.88 lakh consumers, 12.57 lakh consumers have zero water bill. The scheme aims to incentivise people to get proper metered connection which in turn brought more people into the metered water network and thus brought more revenue for the Jal Board.
