Introduce self-defense as a part of the school curriculum

Broken

In 2018-19 budget, Ministry of Human Resources and Development sanctioned Rs. 165 crore for training on self-defence. Similarly, CBSE has issued guidelines asking the schools to organise week long self-defense training in schools. Similar efforts were being made prior to May 2014 as well.

However, self-defence hasn’t been introduced as a part of school curriculum but an extra curricular activity since curriculum means not one time activity but consistent engagement with self-defense as subject (both theoretical and practical), defined syllabus, grading, and assessments.

Therefore, the performance against this promise is classified as “Broken”
