Periodically review and refine/ scrap outdated laws

The Appropriation Acts (Repeal) Act 2016 has been approved by the President on 6th May 2016. It repeals 758 Appropriation Acts, including Appropriation Acts for the railways, passed during the period of 1950-2012.  1159 such laws have been repealed.

The Repealing and Amending Bill, 2017 and the Repealing and Amending (Second) Bill, 2017 were approved by the President on 5th January 2018.
Together the bills repeal 235 Acts in whole.
